HBA and British Antarctic Survey create display for Gingerbread City exhibition

The design features three inter-connected elevated modules gently resting on a plateau of the whitest hardest icing sugar inhabited by a delicious array of penguins, polar tents and snow clearance vehicles. The exhibition at Westfield London runs from 02.12.23 to 07.01.24. Hopefully we won’t see the icing shelf calving off as a giant icing berg!

The design builds upon our experience designing Polar research stations for the UK, New Zealand, Australia, Spain and the USA, in particular the ground breaking relocatable Halley VI Research Station on the Brunt Ice Shelf.
